Kylie Jenner Breaks Down In Tears Over ‘Nasty’ Comments About Appearance

Kylie Jenner is getting candid about her looks.

On Season Five, Episode Five of “The Kardashians,” Kylie, 26, breaks down in tears while speaking about the criticism that she’s received about her appearance.

“It’s a miracle that I still have confidence and I could still look in the mirror and think that I’m pretty,” Kylie tells her sister Kendall Jenner, 28, on the show.

Kylie was responding to a photo of her taken in Paris, which had gone viral. In it, she said she wasn’t wearing much makeup, and the “weird light” and showcased the laugh lines on her face.

“I hear nasty things about myself all the time,” she says in a confessional.

“I think it’s just after 10 years of hearing about it, 10 plus years, it just gets exhausting,” she adds.

While talking to Kendall, Kylie says she’s now “numb” to the backlash she’s been getting about her looks. She proceeds to cry in her sister’s arms and ask, “Why do people think it’s OK to talk about me?”

“I’ve never cried about this before, but I guess it does affect me,” she says.

Kylie went on to characterize what, exactly, people say. Some defend her appearance, but others bash her because they believe she got extensive plastic surgery.

“I’m like, even if I did get so much surgery, and I got all these things, I still don’t think it’s OK to talk about someone’s looks,” Kylie says.

“I agree,” Kendall replies.

“People have been talking about my looks since I was 12, 13, before I even got lip filler, people talked about my looks. And it’s just so hurtful,” Kylie says.

In her confessional, the Kylie Cosmetics founder says that she does consider herself a “really strong” and “confident” person despite the criticism that she gets online.

“I’m like, so grateful, so blessed that I can wake up and look in the mirror and like what I see, and think that I’m beautiful,” she said. “I’m also human and there’s only so much someone can take.”

“I cannot let the comments get me down. I have s–t to do,” she adds. “Rise above.”
