Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra requested people to vote in large numbers in the third phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, asserting that this is an election to protect democracy and the Constitution. On X, Priyanka Gandhi said, “Dear people of the country, this election is an election to protect democracy and the Constitution of the country. This is an election to defeat historic unemployment, rampant inflation, institutional corruption and economic crisis.”

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister  Ajit Pawar, his wife and NCP candidate from Baramati Lok Sabha seat Sunetra Pawar cast their vote today morning in Baramati. “The party leaders and the workers who campaign for their candidate always believe that their candidate will win. This is the beginning. It is still not 6pm. I am sure people will support our candidate. This election is for the development of Baramati,” he said after casting his vote

Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and his sons, state BJP chief BY Vijayendra and sitting MP  BY Raghavendra, cast their votes at a polling booth in Shivamogga.

Polling started today morning for 11 of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, including Baramati, where Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule is pitted against Sunetra Pawar, wife of the veteran leader’s estranged nephew and Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. Polling began at 7 am and will end at 6 pm at the 23,036 polling centres, an official said. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeals to people vote in very high numbers during the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday voted at a polling booth in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency in the single-phase voting for 25 seats in Gujarat.

PM Modi reached the polling booth at Nishan Public School in Ranip locality of Ahmedabad city soon after the polling began at 7 am and cast his vote.

The nomination process to contest elections in Delhi’s Lok Sabha constituency concluded on Monday, May 6. Among the prominent candidates who filed their nominations on Monday were the Congress’ North East Delhi nominee Kanhaiya Kumar and former AAP leader Raaj Kumar Anand, who joined the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and is contesting from the prestigious New Delhi seat.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah attacked the opposition alliance and alleged that the bloc’s victory will usher in an “jungle raj” in the country. Shah also called out the oppostion parties for indulging in corruption. Addressing an election rally in favour of BJP leader and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai, in Bihar’s Samastipur district, Shah said, This is not the first time earlier Rs 350 crore was recovered from the house of a Congress MP in Jharkhand, and now the recovery of more than Rs 30 crore.
