Having wrapped up their careers with the University of Saskatchewan women’s Huskies hockey team following the 2023-24 season, goaltender Camryn Drever and defenceman Isabella Pozzi are set to reunite in the Swedish Hockey League next season.
The players each signed a one-year deal with the Skelleftea AIK, and will play their first game with the team on September 20.

Drever, who hails from Edmonton, set a new Huskies record in her final season with the team recording 15 wins. She also recorded five shutouts, a 1.33 goals against average and a league-best .950 save percentage.
For her efforts, she was selected as the Canada West Goaltender of the Year as well as a U Sports second team All-Canadian.
Over her entire Huskies career, Drever had 39 wins, a 1.47 goals against average, a .942 save percentage and made 1771 saves, becoming one of the top-five performances in program history.
At the blue line, Pozzi, a Calgary product, played 150 games for the green-and-white, recording five goals and 31 assists. At the 2022 U Sports Championship, she recognized as an All-Star.
Bloski, Moose Jaw Warriors at Memorial Cup
Saskatoon’s Adam Bloski of Saskatoon was selected as one of four referees for this year’s Memorial Cup, which features the Moose Jaw Warriors as the Western Hockey League’s representative.
In their opening game on Friday, the Warriors fell 5-4 to the Saginaw Spirit.
They’ll get their next action on Monday when they face the London Knights and will wrap up round robin play on Tuesday against the Drummondville Voltigeurs.
