Police ask for help as they try to ID suspects after break and enter

At about 8:20 p.m. on Jan. 26, two suspects got into an apartment building in the 600 block of Bathgate Drive and stole a number of contractor tools, police said.

The Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help as they attempt to identify two suspects following a break and enter on Jan. 26.

At about 8:20 p.m. on Jan. 26, two suspects got into an apartment building in the 600 block of Bathgate Drive and stole a number of contractor tools before fleeing the scene in a white Mazda 3 hatchback with chrome rims, police said.

One suspect was described as a white male, average build, brown hair and facial hair. He was seen wearing a white hooded jacket, green hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and light running shoes. He was also seen driving the getaway vehicle, police said.

The other suspect was described as a light-skinned male, heavy build with longer dark hair and facial hair. He was seen wearing a blue sweater, black pants and dark shoes, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Break and Enter Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 4533. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or at crimestoppers.ca.
